About me

I am a cat lover who loves to hike! I love to spend my free time at cat cafe’s and exploring new trails in beautiful Bozeman, MT!

My story

When I was 14 years old I suddenly gained a bunch of weight and I didnt know why. I went to every doctor that I could find and they all blew me off and told me to just lose weight then they would help me. Little did they know my weight gain was caused by inflammation. I had gained 30 pounds in 1 month and doctors said I was just eating too much and I was just fat. I lost and gained weight 4 times before I was finally successful in it and I kept it off for 5 years by keeping in a calorie deficit and still eating foods i love and enjoy. I simply follow the 80 20 rule of 80 percent healthy foods and 20 percent fun foods. In high school, I weighed just over 180. It hurt to walk upstairs, constant back pain, neck pain, you name it. Also, I had irregular periods. I currently struggle with dysmenorrhorea (painful periods) but I maintain a healthy weight now of 135-140 for a 5 ft 8 frame and I eat mainly an anti inflammatory diet. I currently am still trying to navigate through dysmenorrhorea and it is not easy some months.

What inspired me

What inspired me: Due to constantly being dismissed by doctors and physicians, I had a burning desire in my heart to help other people because I know what its like to be dismissed and I would never make a client feel unwelcome, judged, or somehow what they did was their fault and unfortunately many doctors blame the patient when they dont have a solution to the patients problem. It is always my goal to make a client feel like I am their safe space and I will always meet them where they are not where I want them to be.

What I believe

  • Fasting

Did you know that fasting can provide many benefits to the body!! These benefits include but are not limited to weight management, improved insulin sensitivity, reduced inflammation, and much more!

  • Calorie deficit

A calorie deficit occurs when you burn more calories than you consume and therefore use the body’s stored up fat for energy making you lose weight.

  • Self love and discipline

Having discipline is essential to having a healthy body, mind and spirit. However, mistakes happen!! It is about what you do most of the time that matters!

  • Natural Remedies

I always encourage friends and clients to use alternative remedies to heal themselves! One example is black seed oil which has been shown to reduce arthritis pain, allergies and can even act as an antifungal medicine!

  • Follow an 80/20 diet

Your diet does not have to be perfect all the time! Incorporate fun foods into your lifestyle. This will keep you on track and you will not feel the need to restrict!
